On dreams and “Inception”
The positive worldwide reception of the Leonardo DiCaprio-starred “Inception” has led to massive interest in the concept of the film, with viewers believing that there might be a possibility that we can control our dreams and that we can go from one level to another and experience multiple levels of dreaming.
Sleep expert Matthew Edlund said that the film was impressively made that he could say for a fact that some aspects of the film actually “rings” true. He pointed out the lack of “position sense” of the dreamer when in a deep sleep.
He said that this is true because all dreamers can actually go from one place to another in the dream regardless of the distance, stating that 99 percent of the dreams mostly experience flying in their dreams. He concluded that this is why most people would like to dream because there’s just too many possibilities compared to being in the real world.
