Journalism students bare flesh for Putin

Several female students recently bared flesh as their so-called gift for Russian Vladimir Putin. Putin just celebrated his 58th birthday and the journalism students thought of posing in skimpy lingerie as a “gift” to the Russian leader.
The lingerie photos of the students were placed on a calendar filled with passionate and some pretty steamy birthday greetings for the Russian prime minister.
The calendar is reportedly not widely distributed or sold in stores. However, the photos of the lingerie-clad students can be found on tabloids all around Moscow.
The cover of the calendar says “Vladimir Vladimirovich, WE LOVE YOU!” and it shows a close-up of a female’s chest and cleavage.
The calendar has a different lingerie-clad woman for each and every month for the year 2011.
Another photo shows a third year Moscow State University journalism student striking a sexy pose with only a black and teal bra and panties on. “You only get better with the years,” the photo says. The photo shows journalism student Nastya Klabukova, the September girl of the calendar.
Meanwhile, the lingerie clad model for March has the statement “the fires are out, but I’m still burning” along with her.
The controversial lingerie calendar is reportedly one of the latest publicity stunts for the Russian Prime Minister, who has in recent weeks developed a “manly image.” Putin has been photographed posing shirtless while riding a horse and stalking a tiger through the forests in Siberia.

Hillary Duff purchases wedding lingerie worth $1,000

It must be some very special wedding night for the newly-married actress Hillary Duff as reports surfaced that she purchased about a thousand dollars worth of wedding lingerie for her honeymoon.

According to magazine reports, Duff bought her favorite brassiere and panties at her preferred lingerie store in California before her scheduled nuptials last weekend.
The singer-actress wed hockey star Mike Comrie in Santa Barbara, California and her lingerie items were covered by the magnificent Vera Wang gown which kept the tinseltown talking.

Alison Rubke, the owner of lingerie shop Faire Frou Frou, revealed that Duff and her mother visited their Studio City branch a day before the wedding to shop on the wedding lingerie items.

One of the items Duff bought was the $440 Fleur of England bra and a Vannina Vesperini lingerie set that’s worth $300. She also bought several other lingerie items as well.

CEOs wear pyjamas to help the needy and homeless

More than 680 business executives and CEOs from across Australia wore silk pyjamas on a winter night last Thursday to take part in the inaugural National Vinnies CEO sleepout. These executives exchanged their formal suits to silk pyjamas for a good cause.

The initiative was said to have taken place in all of the country’s capital cities in exception of Hobart. The activity raised more than $2 million and the proceeds will help the needy and homeless.

In Sydney alone, nearly 200 hundred CEOs slept at Luna Park in their silk pyjamas despite the weather nearly reaching zero degrees.

For their dinner, the CEOs lined up for a simple meal composed of a bread roll and a cup of soup.

Vinnies CEO John Picot said that more than a hundred thousand people are homeless in Australia and thousands go to Vinnies to look for a bed to sleep in for the night.

Latvian lingerie company files for bankruptcy

A court in Liepaja, Latvia accepted a petition from a certain Edgars Murans this week, announcing the insolvency for the once-popular lingerie and fabric manufacturer Lauma.

The company, which was established in 1971, has been struggling with the operations for the past years, forcing its officials to declare bankruptcy.
For now, the court has recommended the appointment of Zinta Zalite-Rukmane as the administrator of Lauma.

Since December 31, 2007, more than 92 percent of the company is owned by unidentified legal entities.

Lauma council chairman is Ricardo Rechter, a Spanish citizen and the board chairman is German national Nigel Page.

Lauma offers several types of lingerie ranging from satin bridal lingerie, girls’ underwear and several products that cater to the modern women. The website is still operational which means that customers can still purchase their products.

Colombian lingerie model gets arrest over drug charges

A lingerie model and former beauty queen was finally arrested after several months of eluding the authorities in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina.

According to authorities, lingerie model Angie Sanclemente Valencia was arrested over international drug trafficking charges. The 30-year old former beauty queen was accused of leading a drug smuggling operation wherein she uses fellow models to traffic cocaine from Argentina to Europe.

Valencia was arrested at a hostel located in the city’s Palermo area. Her mother, Jeanette Valencia, stressed to the media that her daughter is not guilty of the charges filed against her and is just a victim of a “conspiracy.”

Valencia has been eluding the authorities since December of last year, the time when the arrest warrant has been issued. The operation was exposed after one of the model-smugglers was apprehended in Mexico, carrying nearly 60 kgs of cocaine.
